Special education teacher. Educate children in grades preschool to eighth grade who are diagnosed with a number of physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. Prepare IEPs, or Individualized Educational Plans, that outlines the necessary supports, accommodations, and goals for an individual child. Direct meetings with parents and staff regarding the IEP and make necessary adjustments throughout the year. In the classroom, work with children who can vary from mild to severe disabilities, using specialized techniques to help them reach their goals. We are a SPED (Special Education Inclusionary Program)school. Help us implement our new program.
